5Resilience
Life has crashed down on me at times—heavy, crushing, hard to rise from.
I am resilient. Not in a loud, dramatic way — but in a quiet, enduring way. I bend, maybe even fall, but I don’t stay there. I have developed perseverance with the knowledge that hard seasons pass.
When life came crashing down — and it did —I felt it deeply. Heavy seasons that made it hard to get up came, but I have always been lifted up. First by my mother — her love all-encompassing, protective, rescuing, giving me a foundation of safety so strong that even when life shook, I knew what love felt like.
Then I grew into my own strength. I learned to stand up for myself. To rely on myself. To carry my own weight.
My biggest turning point was meeting Rich. Not just finding a partner, but someone who wanted to live our best lives. Learning TM together gave us a tool to become our best selves.
When Transcendental Meditation entered my life — and it wasn’t just a practice. It was a shift in consciousness. A grounding. A centering. The moment where the little girl matured into a woman who understands that peace is not out there somewhere — it’s within.
I am resilient joy.
Raised in encompassing Love.
Tempered by heavy seasons.
Strengthened by self-reliance.
Awakened through partnership.
Rooted in stillness
Overflowing with Love..
instead of hardening, I deepened.
